Spring Hill Boys and Girls teans both took home 5th place Saturday morning at the Wildcat Invitational at Whitehouse. The boys were led by Brady Meyer’s PR of 17:31 and a 4th place finish. The girls were led by Ester Arteaga bringing home a medal for 10th and a PR of 14:21. Junior High girls finished 3rd In their first meet led by Harper Parlow in 10th at 15:44. The High School Panthers travel to Sulpher Springs next Friday. Spring Hill made long trip to Sulphur Springs Friday morning. The Lady Panthers had a great day finishing 8th in a crowded 27-team meet. Ester Arteaga led the way with a top 30 finish in a field of almost 200. All eight ladies broke 16:00 for the first time this season. Brady Meyer PR’d for the 2nd straight meet and finished 20th. The girls team had a solid day finishing in 6th place, with two PR’s, and solid performances across the board. Ester Arteaga, Emerson Brown, and Addison McClimon all broke 15:00. The varsity girls got PR’s from 5 of their 7 runners and finished 2nd as a team to qualify for the Regional Meet in ten days. Junior Ester Arteaga (7th) and freshman Addison McClimon (10th) both medaled. The boys team finished 5th overall led by a 15th place finish by senior Brady Meyer. JV girls also finished 2nd led by Brynlee Catt (4th) and Marlen Hernandez (6th). Spring Hill Girls Cross Country team made their second straight Regional appearance Monday morning in Grand Prairie. The Lady Panthers first five runners across the line all ran career-best times. Junior Ester Arteaga broke 13:30 for the first time. Freshman Addison McClimon and senior Emerson Brown both broke the 14:00 barrier. Freshman Kinley Ricketts was right at 14:00 and sophomore Ty’Erika Robinson PR’d by almost a full minute. The Panthers finished 16th overall as a team to wrap up the season.
